Roundtable Tour

Gladstone was a fitting backdrop as CHDC CEO Peter Dowling joined regional leaders for last month’s CQ Economic Development Roundtable.

A tour included stops at the Queensland Energy Resources Visitor Centre and other key locations, reinforcing just how pivotal the port city is to moving the Central Highlands’ mining and agricultural industries forward.

Roundtable discussions dug into some big topics too, including the need for a region-wide approach to managing social impacts and community benefits of the growing energy sector.

We’re also proud to confirm that Emerald will play host to the next Roundtable at a date to be confirmed.

The Roundtable consists of representatives from Gladstone, Rockhampton, Livingstone, Woorabinda, and Banana local councils; and CHDC, Capricorn Enterprise, Regional Development Australia, and the Queensland Government.
