Ready for Impact

Hello! I’m Deb Barns and I’m CHDC’s new Regional Development Coordinator.

As the job title suggests, my role is a broad ranging one, including advocating for the Central Highlands and facilitating investment attraction. It’s an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the region.

With a track record at Harcourts International and roles in New Zealand and Perth, I bring expertise in implementing systems and fostering growth. I’m also a seasoned professional in product management, marketing, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

On a personal note, I recently relocated to Emerald with my husband and two young kids, and I’ve genuinely connected with the community’s spirit.

I’m eager to leverage this personal connection, along with my professional expertise, to contribute to CHDC’s objectives — driving growth and development in our fantastic region.

There’s much to do, especially with a new year just around the corner, and I look forward to connecting and collaborating with you at some stage soon.
