Driving Tourism
27 November 2024
We’re thrilled to be welcoming to Emerald next week high-level representatives from Tourism and Events QLD, Caravan Parks Association of QLD, and Central Highlands Regional Council for TOURISM24.
This event is a way to wrap up the year and look ahead through the lens of the State’s new Drive Tourism Marketing Strategy, which supports regional dispersal and promotes the discovery of QLD’s destinations, events and experiences.
TOURISM24 is going to be a fabulous opportunity for local businesses to learn more about the action plan, released just two weeks ago, and how it will affect towns, roads, and services along the Great Inland Way. It represents huge potential to provide additional value to local infrastructure and accommodation projects.
Drive tourism, which refers to visitors who travel for leisure and use a road vehicle to reach their destination, is a cornerstone of our State’s tourism economy. The total drive market is projected to contribute 44 per cent ($20 billion) of the industry target of $44.4 billion in overnight visitor expenditure (OVE) per year by 2032.
Tickets to TOURISM24 are just $26.87 (includes booking fee) and can be purchased here.
I’d love to see you there!
