CAMPAIGN TO FUEL TOURISM

With the global fuel crunch impacting drive tourism, CHDC has launched a digital campaign encouraging Central Queenslanders to holiday close to home.
The mix of organic and paid social media content is supported by a dedicated webpage featuring short‑journey itineraries, fuel price updates and EV charging options.
The aim is to inspire local staycations, support regional operators and encourage visitors to stay in the region longer across Easter and the school holidays.
Help to spread the word by sharing posts from our Central Queensland Highlands Facebook and Instagram pages.
CHDC continues to monitor our region’s fuel prices and supply, and we remain in contact with businesses and industry stakeholders to ensure the local challenges are understood and shared with policy-makers.
