EMERALD DAMA CONSULTATION – INDUSTRY ROUNDTABLE
Migration Queensland, a division of Trade and Investment Queensland, is the Queensland Government unit responsible for selecting and nominating skilled migrants who meet Queensland’s priority skills needs. Under the Migration Strategy, the Australian Government committed to plan migration over a longer-term horizon with greater collaboration with state and territory governments, leading to the Queensland Government exploring the option of a state-led Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMA).
As the initial phase of consultation, Migration Queensland are looking to hold a series of consultation sessions with key stakeholders from across Queensland’s regions to explore the opportunity of a state-led DAMA. These sessions are designed to identify regional pressures and understand local community workforce dynamics for consideration in the planning and possible implementation of a state-led DAMA.
This session will take place at CH CoLab on 9-13 King Street, Emerald
