TV SPOTLIGHT RETURNS TO GEMFIELDS

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, but it’s the following day when TV viewers across Queensland will fall in love with the Sapphire Gemfields!

The 15 February episode of Weekender, broadcast on Seven Queensland, will feature a segment filmed on location last December, including shoots at Rubyvale Gem Gallery, Sapphire Caravan and Cabin Park, and the New Royal Hotel Rubyvale.

The initiative of Queensland Country Tourism was supported by CHDC and follows a similar partnership with the Seven Network’s national Sunrise program in May 2025.

As tourism development is central to CHDC’s mission, we are proud to support opportunities that deliver significant exposure to key target audiences such as grey nomads and road‑tripping families.

Weekender is a lifestyle and travel show that airs Sundays at 5:30pm on Seven Queensland. Episodes are also available Australia‑wide via the 7plus app.
