eNews 30 May 2023 – The Face Behind Our Publications

By CHDC’s research and collateral officer Rowean Davia

The baton has been passed to me as everyone at CHDC takes turns introducing ourselves in eNews.
As part of the team that pens our publications, I’d much prefer to write a few paragraphs about our beautiful region than speak about myself!
I am a Clermont girl, born and raised. I went away for school, uni and work, but eventually returned for a job at the Emerald Agricultural College.

During my initial tenure at CHDC from 2003 to 2006, I had the privilege of organising the inaugural multicultural festival and was part of the team responsible for our unique strawbale Visitor Information Centre.

After starting a family, I returned to CHDC part time in 2016.

My current role is Research and Collateral Officer, which sees me compiling publications such as the Economic Profile, Major Projects snapshot, and most recently the Central Queensland Highlands Visitor Guide.

I really enjoy the research aspect of my job, constantly uncovering new insights about our region.

Outside of work, I am blessed with a supportive family consisting of my husband Warren, and teenagers Imogen and Tyler. I am actively involved in the Emerald Eagles FC, and if I have any spare time, you will find me spending it with family, cooking, and savouring a glass of red wine (preferably all at the same time).
You can find all of CHDC’s publications on Issuu.
