Welcome to 2019! Early this year, CHDC will seek to gather information from industries and businesses across the resources, agribusiness and tourism sectors as part of the Bridging the Skills Gap Project. The project is looking to identify current skills for the workforce, identify current training providers, and investigate the quality, delivery and cost of existing providers. The project will also identify future skills needs for the workforce and how to source quality training providers.
To gather this information, a skills survey has been created for businesses to provide feedback on the current and future skills they need.
Access the survey here. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary but would be most appreciated.
This information will be used to engage with training organisations on behalf of businesses to provide accredited training programs or short courses to upskill existing workers within your business. The survey will also seek to find the best way to deliver training to your particular business, whether it’s online, face to face, during normal working hours or at night/weekends. This information will assist the project to negotiate with the training organisations that have the flexibility to meet the needs of business. The survey will remain open over an extended period, enabling the project to extricate ongoing feedback.
The Bridging the Skills Gap Reference Group has been established to provide direct feedback, as well as feedback from industry, analysis of data collected in the survey, and to propose training initiatives.
