Join CHDC and six high-level speakers as we provide an industry forum on the emerging and innovative opportunities and infrastructure for business and industry within the Central Highlands.

The region’s powering agribusiness sector will be a focus with a preview of findings from the Central Highlands Agribusiness Stocktake.

The event will detail the digital telecommunications infrastructure and economic data tools available in the region and how they can be utilised to improve future connectivity and maximise benefits to local business.

Discussions will also centre around the development of a Central Highlands Economic Masterplan to position the region as strong, dynamic, innovative, and economically-viable.

Synopsis: Remplan Economy and Community profiles provide access to detailed demographic data, giving businesses and residents statistics on local population, employment, tourism and insights into the unique characteristics of our communities.

Ian Gordon, Director, Gravelroad

Synopsis: Ian will explain the detailed digital and telecommunications audit identifying existing gaps and investigate potential opportunities for improved telecommunications throughout the Central Highlands region, included rural and remote areas.

Paul Stapleton, Senior Consultant, Gravelroad

Synopsis: Following Ian, Paul will outline the Central Highlands plan that provides clear identification of what needs to be progressed to facilitate opportunities for future growth and demand.

Ben Hughes, Regional Client Manager, Adani Australia

Synopsis: This presentation will introduce the Adani Regional Content Strategy (ARCS) and discuss the supply chain and employment process for the region to become involved in the Carmichael projects.

Synopsis: Receive a snapshot of how agribusiness is structured and fits into the Central Highlands along with insights on where the region’s produce goes, and the associated key challenges and opportunities for the future.
