From 29 April to 2 May 2018, Central Highlands Development Corporation with partners Department of Agriculture and Fisheries will offer a tour of the Port of Townsville (POT), Port of Mackay (North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation) (NQBPC) and Gladstone Port Corporation (GPC) facilities for 15 exporters, potential and aspiring exporters, and others who are important to optimal value chain function.

Join us to meet key contacts at each Port, understand current Port capability, communicate future agribusiness capability required, and make connections with other potential co-operators.


Sunday 29 April
Tour participants arrange own travel to Brisbane

Day 1 Monday 30 April: Townsville
• Demonstration on packing and sealing cold storage containers
• Stevedores tour of NSS and TBSH facilities including refrigerated container points at multiple berth security & monitoring services
• Australian Government DAWR briefing on customs inspection services at all supply chain stages, market access protocols, procedures and documentation for agricultural exports
• Tour of Port

Day 2 Tuesday 1 May: Mackay
• Tour of GrainCorp Terminal
• (subject to availability) Board and view grain loading on ship
• Tour of Port of Mackay
• AusTrade / TIQ presentation on North Asia Free Trade Agreements

Day 3 Wednesday 2 May: Gladstone
• Tour of GrainCorp Terminal
• Demonstration on packing and sealing grain storage containerisation facilities
• Tour of Port of Gladstone
• (subject to availability) Rail freight services and opportunities, Pacific National
• Presentation on CQInland Port, Gladstone Port master planning, planned Gladstone Port Access Road upgrade & Port Alma beef operations

Return to Brisbane; Tour participants arrange own travel to Emerald
Local producers and exporters from the Townsville, Mackay and Gladstone regions will join us for individual site visits and networking functions in the evenings.

Registration includes accommodation in 4 star motels in Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone and Brisbane; flights from Brisbane to Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone and back to Brisbane; bus transfers and all meals.
