Here is a list of the latest grant opportunities for businesses and community groups in the Central Highlands
- The Go Global Export Program provides Queensland's export-ready small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with financial support to enter a new international market. Two levels of project funding will be available: Micro Export Grants up to $5,000 (excluding GST) and Macro Export Grants up to $25,000 (excluding GST). Round One Applications close 28 February 2020. - The Central Highlands Regional Council community grants program supports a diverse range of groups and not-for-profit organisations operating in the region. Successful submissions will receive grants of up to $5,000 and $20,000 each. Round One applications close 28 February 2020. Find out more.
- The Queensland Small Business Month Grants program offers eligible Queensland organisations and individuals access to grants of up to $5,000 (excluding GST) to host an event, project or initiative that will benefit small businesses within their community. Applications close 16 March 2020. Find out more.
- As part of the Queensland Government's Year of Outback Tourism, grants are available for new events or to extend existing events, which contribute to enhancing the profile of Outback Queensland and attract new or increase the number of visitors. Funding from $1000 to $100,000 (exclusive of GST) is available per event. Applications for the fourth and final round close 16 March 2020. Find out more.
- The Queensland METS Collaborative Projects Fund will provide mining equipment, technology and services companies with access to $1.1 million to fast-track collaborative projects. Applications close 16 March 2020. Find out more.
- The Black Summer Innovation Program (BSIP) is designed to help small and medium businesses, who have been affected by events of national natural catastrophe or global diseases outbreaks (in 2019 or 2020). Funding is designed to support these businesses innovate to create commercial products, processes or services. Grants of up to $25,000 are available to Australian food and agribusinesses geographically located in and affected by drought, flood, fire, African Swine Flu and coronavirus epidemic. Grants are to be used to support business, product or service innovations. No matched funding is required. Applications open March 1 and close 9 April. Find out more.
- The $10 million Growing Indigenous Tourism in Queensland Fund is part of the Year of Indigenous Tourism, a State Government initiative. The fund will support new, unique and innovative Indigenous tourism products and experiences, particularly in regional areas. Applications close 21 April 2020. Find out more.
- Applications for round four of the Regional Arts Development Fund are open to people, groups and organisations involved in the Central Highlands arts and cultural sector. This round has $54,034 of funding available across ten categories. Applications close 1 May 2020. Find out more.
- The Manufacturing Hubs Grants Program offers grants between $5000 and $1 million, with the funds administered through the Rockhampton Manufacturing Hub, a state industry initiative to create jobs and maximise local manufacturing strengths like rail and metal production. Applications close June 2022 or once the program is fully subscribed. Find out more.
